This Privacy Policy explains what information URLog.io ("we", "us") collects when you use our website, AI speech-to-text tools, and API (the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service you agree to this Policy and to our Terms of Service & Refund Policy.
Account information. When you register we collect your name, email address, and password. Passwords are stored in hashed form only — we never store or see your plain-text password.
Content you submit. To provide transcription, we process the audio files, recordings, or audio URLs you submit, and we store the resulting transcripts and processing history in your account so you can access them later.
Billing information. Subscription payments are processed by our merchant of record, Polar Software Inc. ("Polar"). Your card details are collected and stored by Polar, not by us. We receive and store only what we need to manage your subscription: your subscription status, plan, order references, and billing email.
Usage and technical data. We record usage metrics tied to your account (such as audio duration processed, for enforcing plan quotas), API keys you generate, and standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps, errors) for security and debugging.
We use your information to: provide and operate the Service (including transcription and storing your history); manage your subscription, billing, and usage limits; authenticate you and your API requests; respond to support requests; secure the Service and prevent abuse; and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your audio or transcripts to train our own AI models.
To deliver the Service, we share data with a small number of service providers, only to the extent necessary:
AI providers. Audio you submit for transcription is transmitted to third-party AI infrastructure providers — currently Replicate and fal.ai — which run the speech-to-text models and return the transcript. Some analysis features may also send text to AI model providers (such as OpenAI). These providers process your content on our behalf to fulfil your request.
Payments. Polar processes checkout, payments, invoices, and subscription billing as merchant of record, under its own privacy policy.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to protect forms against cross-site request forgery (CSRF), and local storage to remember interface preferences such as your theme. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
We keep your account information for as long as your account exists. Transcripts and processing history remain available in your account until you delete them or your account is deleted. Technical logs are kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can update your name, email, and password from your Profile page and revoke API keys at any time. For deletion of your account or data, or any other privacy request, contact us and we will respond within a reasonable time.
We protect your data using industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls. Keep your password and API keys confidential — API keys grant access to your account's API features, and you can revoke them from your profile at any time. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information appropriately.
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as a notice on the site or an email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
